Looking at the sectors faring best as of midday Wednesday, shares of Energy companies are outperforming other sectors, up 0.9%. Within that group, Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) and Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: MPC) are two of the day's stand-outs, showing a gain of 21.9% and 7.5%, respectively.
